Carol Rogers - Gallery About The Artist: An Invitation to apply led to becoming a Member of the United Society of Artists in 1997. In 1995 I joined the Herts Visual Arts Forum & since that date have enjoyed opening my studio during their annual Open Studios event, meeting many new people, showing my latest work & demonstrating my skill with watercolour & other media to them. I am also a member of the Watford Area Arts Forum & I enjoy exhibiting with them & meeting to exchange ideas. A deep love of Nature is reflected in colourful paintings & monoprints, some favourite themes are shown in my gallery ,others are landscapes, figures, fish & birds. Studies in Art & Design, Life Drawing & Life Sculpture have furthered my knowledge & use of different media, but for over 25 years, watercolour has been my favourite media, these days this is often combined with collage in subtle ways to create textural effects. For many years I have taught adults watercolour, nowadays I run workshops & demonstrate to Art Societies & clubs in Herts, Bucks, Middx & Beds.
